Gagan

The GPS Aided Geo Augmented Navigation ( Gagan ), is a modernization plan for Air Traffic Management & Communication Navigation – Surveillance System as mandated by International Civil Aviation Organization , Montreal, Quebec, Canada. , developed by ISRO & Airport Authority of India .

With the Gagan – enhanced GPS device , aircraft will get far more accurate figures while landing , take-off & in flight . Gagan has a fine tune with GPS system of USA to enhance the Indian aviation .

By the launching of Gagan , India has joined the club of USA , Europe & Japan who have the same level of space-based augmentation .This is launched on Sept. 29 , 2012 with the help of GSAT 10 from Kourou , French Guiana .
